Improve Your Neck Pain In A Few Minutes (A Day)

I mentioned in my the last email that my lower back feels much better if I do some light stretching every day. I’m a big believer low intensity maintenance. Not only can stretching improve blood flow, but it does some strengthening work for those muscles. I found this great info-graphic with super easy stretches you can do while sitting at your desk, on the couch, or even at the park.

You’ll notice “gentle” is highlighted in all of the directions. Make sure you’re not pushing to the point of feeling more pain. These types of stretches are to warm up the muscles to allow better range of movement and flexibility. As always, if you are unsure about any of these exercises talk to you health care professional about what is most appropriate for you.

Since most of us (50%-70% according to this information) suffer from neck pain, it’s important that we know how to deal with it. Regular stretching and strengthening can improve your body’s ability to handle and recover from these stresses. I hope this helps.
